We're fed up of seeing the people we love waste their lives on social media, but we also don't believe that the answer is to simply refuse social media as it's now vital to business success thanks to these new fancy machines - mobile phones. Unfortunately, they don't make them like they used to, and social media often doesn't have consumers best interests at heart, but we have Scotland's best interests at heart.
Yes, that means you, plus the people who buy from you, who keep coming back and who tell their friends all about your business.
That's why we've embarked on a mission to boost businesses' social media accounts to catch consumers mid-scroll and encourage them to indulge in the experience that you created with blood, sweat and tears when you started your business. That's more money for you, a way for us to help lift society into a more sociable state, a boost for the local economy and all the benefits that come thereafter.
We started off as bagpipers, playing for weddings, funerals and corporate events across Scotland - full-time for 4 years. We learned about the many hospitality and experience-based businesses that we played for and very quickly saw that social media and network contacts generated more income compared to other high-cost means of marketing. Our work on our own social media accounts started getting us attention from wedding and hospitality businesses.
One of those businesses was Venachar Lochside and they asked us to help handle their social media. Over time, a 'wee hand' turned into a fully-managed portfolio of 5 accounts across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok developing an engaged community of loyal customers who live and breathe Venachar Lochside for all that it has to offer and it's attention to high quality, healthy food and cold loch-side dips.
After finishing University, Robin and I, James, found that we were increasingly aware of the time our friends and family were spending on social media, almost mindlessly, we also noticed more research emerging on the negative impacts that the overuse of social media consumption has on one's physical and mental health and the economy. To say the least, we were politely frosty about this and made it our mission to combine our industry knowledge, previous skills in social media marketing and engagement, and the marketing and business development skills developed throughout our business degrees to make our mark on the world.
Hence, we want to help create a Scotland that actively seeks social connections and is free from the chains of addictive social media platforms.
Robin's passion lies in making social media content and using those skills to help businesses he cares about. Robin fell in love with content creation while growing his bagpiping business and combines his ongoing industry experience as a model/actor on commercial shoots to create strategies that engage the online community.
